Jim in Tbilisi
I am having trouble with my Outlook 2007 IMAP accounts. I have two of them configured for gmail.
At home I can access the email accounts no problem. When I bring my laptop to work, the IMAP accounts cannot connect. I get the following message:
Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for JIM.' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for JIM. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
I have checked the account settings, they are correct. Funny thing is, if I configure the accounts as POP3, they work. However that does me no good as use several different machines over different locations so I need to use IMAP.
I have check my firewall settings in Mcafee, made sure the new network at work is set as trusted. I've disabled both Mcafee and Windows firewalls, this does not help. I can connect to the internet.
I am using a HP 8440p Elite Book with Windows 7 64 bit
Intel Core i7 CPU 2.67GHz
4 GB RAM
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
