Outlook 2010 custom font style duplicates itself every time I save a task

I am running Outlook Version 14.0.6112.5000 (32-bit) on Windows 7 Professional SP1 (64-bit)

I've created a few custom fonts to quickly format my updates for specific tasks and have named them Task Date, Task Text, and Task List and added them to my default template. Every single time I create a new task those three fonts show up and this is a good thing. The issues come in the next time I open that saved task. When I do that I now see six fonts - the ones listed above interspersed with Task Date1, Task Text1, and Task List1. All the text from my previous session is now listed at one of the Task *1 styles. If I add my update comments leaving the new Task *1 styles in the task the next time I open a task I have the original Task * styles, the Task *1 styles, and a new set of Task *2 styles.

To try to keep the styles from multiplying like Tribbles I have to select all the existing Task *1 styles individually, change them to the original Task * style then delete the Task *1 styles. This get very tiresome and annoying.

The latest incarnations of these font styles have been set up with "Style type:" set to Paragraph and "Style based on:" set to (No style). I have changed the style a few times since I originally created it but, have since gone trough and attempted to eliminate all previous instances of the style with the most recent one. I can not guarantee that I have been 100% successful in this endeavor. I have eliminated the styles from my template saved it and recreated them from scratch once I had finalized exactly how I wanted them to be set up.

I really, really hope someone can shed at least some light onto what is happening in my Outlook and how I may be able to correct it.
